Volunteer programs

Aberdeen South Foodbank (operated by TLC)

At Aberdeen South Foodbank (operated by TLC) we aim to source donations from commercial and domestic groups to stock and replenish the Foodbank. We appreciate all their donations and support. They are very beneficial to us and we will work closely with them to ensure we can make full use of their donations. At Aberdeen South Foodbank, we firmly believe that we can help meet real needs of people in crisis across Aberdeen.

Donation drives are usually carried out in local supermarkets and retail shops that agree to help us raise donations and/or funding to keep the TLC Food-bank running effectively. The standard procedure is to hand out shopping lists and leaflets to encourage the public to purchase extra items of food to donate to us.

If you would like to volunteer with us, please contact us via the site or by email at info@tlc.org.uk.

TLC BEFRIENDING PROJECT

TLC will be re-launching our befriending scheme to in April 2021 in response to the increased levels of loneliness and isolation made worse by the Covid-19 pandemic.

A full training package will be provided. If you have a free hour a week and would like to make a difference in the life of our community, please get in touch.

Become A Volunteer

We aim to gather a wide and varied range of volunteers from all different back grounds to establish a diverse organisation capable of keeping the project stable.

We ask volunteers to give us an outline of their skills and availability so we can make full use of their talents.

TLC COMMUNITY CARE

As part of our community care program, we aim to help regenerate tired and unloved community spaces and parks. We provide volunteers for some much needed TLC projects in Aberdeen. If you'd like to be involved in this type of progam, please be in touch.
