Aberdeen Befriending Project
It is recognised that the older generation amongst us can sometimes suffer from increasing levels of social isolation and loneliness in our society. These individuals have contributed in valuable ways over the years to our community and could continue to with the right engagement in the right area.
This project aims to engage with sheltered housing complex and care-home residents in facilitating meaningful relationships, adding value to their lives and providing enjoyable activities that will stimulate them socially, physically and emotionally to continue to give to our community at large.
We are thankful and proud to be working in partnership with Alzheimer Scotland, ACVO and Aberdeen City Council to make this happen and continue to strive to meet the needs of our community in reducing social poverty in our city.
There is a full training package on offer and regular supervision available for any issues that may arise. You will not just be left on your own, we will be with you every step of the way.
