What have we been upto in 2021?
2021 has been one of our busiest years as a charity yet as we sought to respond to the growing needs of our community, only exasperated by the Covid-19 pandemic.
TLC has continued our support to individuals and families through our food bank services throughout 2021, supporting many hundreds of people, providing thousands of meals, and also started the TLC Befriending Project in response to the crippling effects of loneliness & isolation which affects individual mental health and wellbeing.
2021 was also TLC's 20th year of responding to the needs of our community and were honored to receive a mention in the Scottish Parliament (in July 2021) by our local MSP Douglas Lumsden, congratulating us on our 20 years of service to the community of Aberdeen.
As we enter into 2022, it is with a tinge of sadness that we recognise that the need for our services may increase.
However, as always, TLC will be there not only to support our community with immediate needs but also to work towards and champion a fairer society, where TLC as a charity no longer needs to exist, as we see poverty and social isolation in Aberdeen disappear.
